Simply versatile - TopSec Fingerprint module B.x with Touchchip sensors
The TopSec B.1 module supports all available TouchChip fingerprint area sensors with excellent image quality and robust surface.
The “Perfect Print” and calibration functions optimized for each sensor type and specific sensor surface guarantee highest image quality for dry and wet fingers in different using environment. The TopSec B.1 module supports both sensor area sizes of TCS1 and TCS2 in the operation modes “Enhanced Image Mode” or “Steal Coated Mode”.
The TCS1 sensor is the capacitive single finger sensor with largest active sensor area on the market and fulfils the FBI requirements regarding sensor area.
Through its large coverage area (also large finger area) TCS1 sensor is well suited for 1 to many and also ONE Touch enrolement applications. The TCS2 sensor type is suited for price sensitive verification applications (1:few, 1:1).
The sensor surface coating of the Standard (gold coated) and of new “Steal Coated” sensor types protect from dirt, humidity, scratching and chemical materials and guarantee high reliability and long term resistance up to 2 or 4 Mio finger touches.
With the integrated finger guide the modules and sensors can be snapped in in different plastic and metallic housings to achieve easy, quick and cost optimized and flexible mounting. Fast and efficient image readout processes, performant image preprocessing routines and also powerful finger template extraction and matching algorithms on the TopSec B.1, which are optimized for embedded processing combined with the excellent image quality supplied from these 3rd generation Touchchip sensor family build a powerful, high accurate an fast fingerprint recognition unit for verification and identification.
