Fingerprint recognition modules with different sensor techniques and operation modes
The family of TopSec ID B.x fingerprint recognition modules is a PC independent fingerprint recognition unit consisting of processor unit and replacable different fingerprint sensor units, on which the fingerprints are locally stored and the process of fingerprint template extraction and matching is executed locally onboard. This product line guarantees excellent and top recognition performance regarding accuracy and FAR/FRR rates and a very fast recognition speed.
It can be used for verification and identification (up to 1000 persons) depending on connected sensor type. The excellent performance of these module + sensor combinations, reliability and long term life time is put together through the excellence of used fingerprint algorithms and a maximum of product quality and electronic manufacturing quality of integrated sensors and B.x module.
The TopSec modules are universally combinable and compatible with different sensor techniques, template standards and all possible use cases and operational modes for fingerprint verification and identification. The TopSec module provides a wide variety of biometric functions to ensure maximum flexibilty and synergies during the development process of product- and terminal solution families. Available commands allow the flexible implemention of application scenarios like “Identification within the device or terminal”, “Verification of card ID/PIN or templates from card” or “Extraction only for Match On server” application with same TOPSEC module command protocol. Mainly by our sensor independent fingerprint algorithms we offer a maximum of combinability and selection options for different sensor techniques compatible with identical HW and protocol interfaces leading to highest investment protection for our integration partners.
These units are suited for integrators and manufacturers looking for price optimized, high reliable, high performant and easy to integrate OEM fingerprint recognition module functionality into their USB or controller applications without investing and maintaining own specific knowledge in the technology of fingerprint recognition. We offer small sized and large sized capacitive, optical, thermal area sensors and also swipe sensors in order to deliver the exactly right sensor technolgy for price sensitive verification as well for high accurate identification applications.

Development and Evaluation Kit
TopSec ID Fingerprint Module B.X
The Kit simplifies the electrical, mechanical integration and protocol implementation of the TopSec functionality within a sample application and helps to optimize the design in process, so that developers and product managers can focus on main product- and solution requirements and mechanical sensor integration of the new device.
Persons and fingers can be enroled and identified with the Demo-Tool. The Service-Tool is used for HW diagnostics, for parametrization, FW download and finger archive download and backup.
